How We'll Bring Your Piece to Life
Every piece I build starts with your vision. Whether you have a photo of exactly what you want or just a rough idea, we'll work together from first sketch to final finish to create furniture that's truly yours. Here's how it works:
1. Share your inspiration
Send me pictures of pieces you love — from Pinterest, a magazine, or a friend's home. The more examples you share, the better I understand the piece you're dreaming of.
2. We'll talk it through
We'll discuss what you need: dimensions, how you'll use it, the space it's going into, and your budget. I'll ask questions and share suggestions drawn from years of building custom furniture.
3. Design and plans
Using my background in architectural drafting, I'll draw up plans for your piece, so I have a design roadmap to follow.
4. Choose your wood and finish
I'll work with you to select the best wood species and finish for your piece — balancing the look you want with durability and budget.
5. 50% deposit starts your project
I require 50% down to get your project on the build schedule, with the remaining 50% due upon completion.
6. I build your piece
Your furniture comes to life in my Portland shop, and I'll keep you updated as it takes shape.
7. Delivery or pickup
The final 50% is due when your piece is complete. Depending on the size of the piece and your location, I offer delivery for an additional fee — or you're welcome to pick it up from the shop.

Custom Workbenches for Small Businesses
Your shop bench shouldn't wobble, flex, or give out before you do. I build custom workbenches for Portland-area small businesses, built to your space, your trade, and the beating they'll take every day.
Every bench includes:
-
Heavy-duty frame, rock solid
-
3/4" pre-finished plywood top, strong and wipes clean in seconds
-
Lower shelf for storage
-
Custom sized to fit your space
-
Locking casters available
The standard 72" x 24" bench starts at $395. Need it bigger, taller, mobile, or built around the way your trade works? I'll build it to fit.
I've built benches for rug makers, ceramic and pottery studios, screen printers, and art rooms. If your crew is working off a wobbly bench, let's fix that.
